03.22.08:

i've added archives of older work including the the bamboo piece pictured here on the right.

also, Tiny Run's new design is up created by Michael himself. It is a handmade batik design meaning he will handmake each and every shirt himself.

03.12.08: onward, dammit...

the limited run of Tiny Run shirts with the "true star" image is coming to an end on march 15. look for a new design after that date. as a reminder, it is artist Michael Cianfrani's new project. Michael founded and ran Shirts Against, an organization that used t-shirt sales to help artist with illnesses and disabilities. In the same spirit, he is touting a unique DIY ethic to help promote artists.

i donated a piece to the rogers park medical center and it is now hanging in its new home. there is a bad picture of it in the wood section of the artwork. the piece is "locust and honey"

sadly, the graffiti class i was teaching has come to an end. however, as a class we did finish most of the project, designing shoes. we took old, donated pairs of shoes and graff'd, graph'd, painted, attacked new designs and they look amazing. i'll have to post some soon.

more later.

02.23.08 NEWS

Artist Michael Cianfrani launched his new project, Tiny Run and is showcasing my work, the piece "true star", as his first design.

Here is Tiny Run in his own words:

"Basically, it is intended to be a Tiny Showcase of shirt designs. If you know Tiny Showcase like I do, then yeah, neat, right? If you aren't familiar, then you should go look at what they do. They print up tiny production runs of small prints by artists of excellent caliber. And they put up a new design every week.

I'm going to put up a new design every two weeks, so it's not exactly the same, but close. There are other little differences to, as it functions as a pre-order only. Only the amount of shirts ordered will be produced. Once a design is retired, I'm not going to make any more... I'm going to be contacting many people that are excellent artists in an attempt to collaborate on this. This is definitely something to keep an eye on.

Also, sign up for the email list there too! I'll send out emails to that list every time a new design comes up."
